Screen Settings for Continux

Geändert am Do, 27 Nov um 5:03 NACHMITTAGS

For optimal display and use of the Continux software, we recommend the following screen settings:

Minimum requirements
Screen resolution: Minimum Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels)
Scaling100% or standard resolution (no enlargement)
Font sizeSystem default (no adjustment)

Check and adjust settings (Windows)
1. Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings"
2. Under "Scale and layout," make sure:
  • The resolution is at least 1920 x 1080
  • Scaling is set to 100%
3. Keep the font size at the default settings

Check and adjust settings (macOS)
1. Open "System Preferences" via the Apple menu
2. Select "Displays"
3. Make sure that:
  • Under "Resolution," the option "Default for display" is selected
  • For Retina displays: Choose the default scaled option (middle), which corresponds to "Looks like 1920 x 1080" or higher
  • Font size remains at system default
4. Avoid "Larger Text" or custom scaling options

Additional notes

For laptop use: Ensure that the internal screen has at least Full HD resolution. Older laptops with lower resolution (e.g. 1366 x 768) may not work optimally with Continux.

Multi-monitor setup: If you use multiple screens, all connected monitors should meet the minimum requirements. Different scalings between monitors can cause display issues when moving Continux windows between screens.

External monitors: When using external monitors with higher resolution (e.g. 4K), standard scaling is recommended to ensure the best display.

Why these settings?
This configuration ensures that all elements of the Continux interface are displayed correctly and that operation runs smoothly. Deviating settings can lead to display problems, unreadable texts, or incorrectly positioned controls.
