Secure Access to Your User Account

Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your user account with an additional security layer. Alongside your password, you need a temporary code generated on your smartphone. This ensures that only you have access to your data in Continux.

Quick Start: Set Up 2FA in a Few Steps

Even if you have never used an authenticator app before – don’t worry: Setup is straightforward and takes only a few minutes.

In a few steps:

Download an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy onto your smartphone. Available for free in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Log in to Continux and open Settings under your username.
Activate "Two-Factor Authentication" – your personal QR code will appear.
Open the app and scan the QR code.
Click "Save" in Continux – done.

Preparation: Install Authenticator App

To use 2FA, you need an authenticator app on your mobile phone. This app generates one-time security codes that you enter when logging in to Continux.

The following apps are suitable and available for free:

Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy

Step-by-Step: Activate 2FA in Continux (Short Version)

Log in to Continux as usual.
Open the dropdown menu next to your username and select Settings.
Activate the switch "Two-Factor Authentication" in settings.
An individual QR code will appear.
Open the authenticator app on your phone and add a new account.
Scan the QR code with the app.
Save the added account in the app.
Click "Save" in Continux to complete the process.

Important: The QR code is displayed only once for security reasons. Do not leave settings until the connection to the app has been successfully established.
