Can I use two-factor authentication (2FA) on multiple devices?

Technically, it is possible to scan the QR code on multiple devices. 

For example, if you own two smartphones, the QR code used to set up two-factor authentication can generally be scanned on both. Some authenticator apps even offer synchronisation across multiple devices. 

However, please note: For security reasons, we strongly advise against using 2FA on multiple devices at the same time. Multi-device use increases the risk of unauthorised access. In addition, we cannot guarantee the functionality or security of authenticator apps in such cases. 

To ensure secure use, we recommend activating two-factor authentication only on one trusted, protected device.
