Answer:
If a contact was accidentally created more than once, duplicates can be reviewed and cleaned up:
Compare the associated IP rights, transfer any relevant links to the main contact, and then remove the unnecessary duplicates.

Note: Contacts without any linked IP rights can be deleted directly.
