Download & link with mobile client

Note: A mobile client on the user's cell phone is required to generate the token. Please download this from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Examples are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy.

Steps:

1. Add a new service / account in the app of your choice

2. Scan the Continux QR Code

3. Save the profile.

4. You have successfully linked your cell phone. From now on, a matching token will always be generated for you to log in to      Continux.

Important note when changing your cell phone:

After successful activation of two-factor authentication, Continux is permanently linked to your cell phone. 

In case you plan to switch to a new cell phone, you MUST unlink your old phone BEFORE you turn in your old phone.

Steps:

1. Log in with your old cell phone

2. Deactivate two-factor authentication under Settings

3. Once you have switched to your new cell phone, relink it.

If you have overlooked this, please contact Continux Support. On request, we can manually reset the two-factor authentication. A QR code can be scanned on multiple devices. There are also Authenticator solutions that allow synchronization between devices. However, we do not recommend this and do not guarantee that these are secure.
