Why are documents from inventions not carried over to patents?

An invention disclosure contains an internal, often informal description of the invention idea. Structurally and in terms of content, this does not correspond to the application version later filed with the patent office. 

In the patent file, the formally prepared description is often maintained in line with the filing standard. 

Both file types therefore serve different functions in IP management and are intentionally kept separate in Continux. Automatic data transfer is not provided.
